Elizabeth Park
Well Willie & I had a great time this last Sunday going to Elizabeth park. It was about a 30 min drive south of D-Town and you pass a lot of factories, some of which look completely abandoned. That seems to be a common thread throughout Detroit and the surrounding areas! The boarded up shops and large factories that is. It's a very interesting dichotomy, because you pass by some beautiful houses that are for sale or for rent, across the street from the river or lake, some actually bordering the lake, and then the next block every house and building you see will have plywood covering every possible entrance. Anyhow, i get the feeling that it's not the top of the housing market in the country!
This one took a couple of tries, cuz i had to run across the street before the timer went off!! People looked at me even stranger when i did this. It's kind of funny, the people acted as if they had never seen anyone taking pictures before! Or maybe it was just because they thought we were real models from California! haha

So we bought a $3 foot ball at Target and after taking a bunch of pictures by the water and over a cute bridge, we tossed the ball in the rain. Oh and when we were taking pictures, the best spot was right at the entrance to the park so everyone that came in and drove out would shout out laughs and jeers at us while we were posing! :) It was quite funny! So when you look at these shots where "we look so hot right now", imagine that we are trying to ignore the scoffing passer-bys!! :)
