India Update (from Alison)

Hi everyone!

Barak has been able to call me a few times and so I wanted to update you all on what he and Willie are up to. I'm sure they will write more later, but I know they've been having a little trouble getting e-mails out so far.

The boys have been there a few days and it sounds like they are already in the swing of things! At first, Barak had some trouble sleeping, but now they are so busy that he's been falling asleep more easily. It's very hot there and I guess they have been sweating more than they ever have before! :)

The kids at the school love them! They especially love Willie's hair and ask him how much he paid for it! Barak has been able to play guitar and sing with them a few times and Willie has become his singing partner. I guess they asked Willie to sing a song out of the blue one day and he had to come up with something on the spot. He ended up singing "As the deer..." as a soloist! Also, the school has been able to buy several guitars and Barak will start giving lessons next week. I'm working on trying to figure out how those of us back here can sponsor the purchase of the guitars, and will let you know when I find out more.

The theme of the summer camp at the Samaritan School relates to "Sing a song..." For example, "Sing a song of victory" or "Sing a song of adoration." Barak taught the message at the school yesterday on "victory" and Willie is teaching tomorrow on adoration. Sometimes they find out they are teaching at the same moment they hear the leader say "And Barak & Willie Davis will be teaching today at 1:00 pm." Also, they (especially Willie) will be doing games and crafts for the school soon too.

Anyway, they sound well and are having fun with the kids! I'll keep you posted when I hear more. Keep praying for the boys!!
